Kathy Chu
Since discovering Pilates, Kathy has been deeply committed to the transformative power of mindful and intelligent movement. She began her BASI Comprehensive training journey, where she immediately connected with the depth, precision, and philosophy of the BASI method. Completing the program further fueled her passion to share movement that supports strength, ease, and long-term well-being.
As a BASI Pilates instructor, Kathy brings a warm, supportive, and intentional approach to her teaching. With a background as a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and a Level 1 Nutrition Coach, she integrates mindful movement, breath, and education to help clients understand their bodies from the inside out. Her classes emphasize alignment, control, and a thoughtful appreciation for intelligent exercise.
Kathy continues to grow through advanced workshops, mentorship, and hands-on teaching within the BASI community. She considers it a privilege to guide clients on their Pilates journey and is dedicated to creating uplifting, grounded, and empowering experiences in every session. When she’s not in the studio, Kathy can often be found in the sky as a corporate flight attendant—an environment that strengthened her ability to create welcoming, supportive spaces, a quality she brings wholeheartedly into her teaching.
