Jaque Lehnard
Lifelong dancer and Brazilian native, Jaque began her Pilates studies in 2014. She had the privilege of studying directly with Rael and Jen Pearlstein.
Throughout the years, she has been taught and mentored by many of the wonderful BASI faculty throughout the world, including Stella Hull-Lampkin, Ofie Dates, Inge Pretorious, Baptiste Hebert, Cara Frazier Natascha Eyber, and Jody Stern. In 2015, Jaque was part of the BASI apprentice program, which launched her teaching career at the BASI headquarters studio. In 2017 Jaque spent some time in South Africa, where she trained under the excellence of bpa Cape Town. She also attended her first Mentor Program in Pretoria that same year and the Pilates through pregnancy course with Ashley Ritchie.
In 2018 Jaque returned to the USA and resumed her teaching career at BASI HQ where she stayed until the first semester of 2021. From then until now Jaque has been focusing on balancing her dance career with her Pilates career, as they’re both passions of hers. Since May 2023, Jaque has started working on building a private Pilates practice, which had been a faraway dream since one of her first business meetings with Stella in 2014. With her relocation to Orange County, it only felt right in her heart to humbly ask to return to teach at BASI HQ studio. She feels honored to be able to return to have direct contact with Rael, Stella, and all the wonderful instructors currently teaching there, as well as all the visiting faculty and BASI people of the world.
Jaque has experienced the transformation of Pilates in her life in all aspects, physically, mentally, and emotionally, and she loves sharing with her clients ways that they can achieve that as well. Jaque also aspires to become faculty one day, as it is an honor to share the BASI legacy with like-minded, passionate people and help shape the future generations of BASI graduates. Jaque has begun appreciating and assisting in the process, and she is eager to continue learning, growing, and sharing within the BASI family.
